WebSince 1996. Gerlach Photography began as a small gallery in Santa Ynez, CA, selling framed landscapes. Now located in Solvang, CA, the owner has moved on to creating canvases and woodblocks by hand. WebA photography instructor at Ithaca College, Ithaca, New York (since 1978), he held the same position at Northern Illinois University, De Kalb, from 1976 to 1979. He was an assistant photographer for Playboy magazine in Chicago (1975-1976). Monte Gerlach has also made a children's film, Becoming Me, for educational television in Lincoln, Nebraska.
